Would detroit consider?

I think you have value right in a vacuum but i'm not sure it makes sense for Detroit. Myers is great but he's not a number 1 D. He's realistically a high 3/low 2. So he adds to our logjam on defense. I really like Stanley and the 2nd but Perreault adds to our logjam at forward. I think you'd need to take a contract back (like Helm) and maybe we could add something more of value (like Saarijarvi). Again, I'm not sure the trade makes sense because we can likely fill our need for top end D with pick 6 instead of a trade.

Don't think Detroit gives up the 6th unless they're trading down a couple spots with Chicago or NYR to get one of their late extra 1st RD draft picks or unless a top tier prospect under 21 is coming back.

No, Detroit is rebuilding. Adding Myers serves no purpose for them.

What if WPG removes the 2nd and 5th and replaces it with a 2019 1st.

I would think its in our better interests split that trade into two with a pair of teams to get two late firsts or early seconds. This is a draft with a ton of boom or bust picks and I think getting two in the 20-40 range would give our scouts the best opportunity to show off why we're the best drafting team in the NHL.
