He may never play again, and if he does, it is a long shot that he will ever again be a top-6 NHL player. I hope he does. But until then, it's best to wish him the best and assume he's not going to be a player for the Blues.

Hoffman trade is a Quality over Quantity thing. You've offered a lot, but none of those pieces is very enticing at all in my opinion. Walman is probably the best one, but the sens have a lot of young options at LHD, and Walman seems pretty clearly behind all of them. Chabot, Wolanin, Englund and Wikstrand if Dorion is able to mend that fence. Even Harpur, though he's definitely not NHL ready, was producing at a higher rate in the AHL this season. I don't see Thompson becoming anything more than a bottom six guy, and I wan't no part of Sobotka at 3.5. Or at all.

Why wouldn't he ever play again? it was a torn ACL that he re-injured during training camp, its not career threatening.

So you wouldn't resign Fabbri for less than 2 mil, but you'll sign Pat friggen Maroon? If Fabbri is healthy he's a top 6 forward unquestionably. Sign Fabbri, dump Maroon, dump Luke Schenn, and no to O'Reilly
