Someone else mentioned a TJ to Blues trade. I like the idea. TB must make cap space, and they can definitely notch some great assets for this guy.

Definitely an overpay considering Zadina/Svechnikov should be really good and potentially already NHL-ready, but I'm making a point: A potential 1C trade is available.

TB ends up being terrifying AGAIN with lots of depth ready in minors to take bottom-6 roles, and your current bottom-6 well capable of taking on top-6 roles if injuries happen. AND you have cap room for Kucherov, Gourde, ...

      Johnson won’t waive his no trade clause for MTL. He'll probably end up in Vancouver (closest to his hometown), St. Louis(cup contender), Seattle (home ish start to start the team), maybe Columbus (not sure why), or Chicago (the other team he was going to sign with to start his pro careers).

      Possibly, but as I said, overpayment to make a point. The direction I prefer is rebuild, but I'm just kicking a few wheels here.

      I forgot to say... You want us to retain salary and take that horrible contract on top of that? Honestly, I wouldn't give the first or Chucky alone for Johnson, let alone Byron who has been a 40pts and 20 goal scorer for us since two years...
