I'm only refering to this post, where a STL fan wanted to buy out Bouwmeester. Unfortunately, that's not possible due to a technicality in the rules. However, there's a better option!

You should now have 3 scoring lines. MPac sign and trade is one possible avenue, but there are other options. If you prefer, this trade creates enough cap space to sign JVR instead.

Really, that bad? Didn't know the hype was THAT strong. I'll refrain from Robert Thomas trades from now on then. They have other decent options with upside still available in Tage Thompson and Nolan Stevens.

If he was in your prospect pool, would you trade him?

Hardest part of moving Bouwmeester will be the NTC. Easier pieces to move to open up cap would be Gunnarsson or Sobotka. Gotta have a reason to open up the cap though, and that means Tavares. Otherwise, we can afford just about any UFA or bringing in a 5-6m player with no problem.

Made the last modification. I think this is the only possible scenario, considering how highly he's valued by STL. Honestly, if you don't do that (with the guarantee of Tavares), you're silly. That's a stacked forward core.
