deKeyser even at 4m for four years might be too much for any team to swallow. If Grub is an 4.5m goalie, (by your signing) Washington should expect a bigger return.

I don't think the deals are awful..but agree that Grub will cost any team more. Maybe even as high as a late 1st round pick.

Ouelett is frustrating...I always thought he had the makeup to be a solid NHLer but his junior game just hasn't translated to the pros.

Compared to some I’ve seen these trades aren’t bad. I think you have to retain more salary on the Dekeyser deal. The LGD deal is probably for a 4th or 5th rounder. And to get Grubauer it’s probaly 2 3rds and a 5th or a second a 5th and a 6th.

It is funny how we are ready to get bombarded by bad comments instead of constructive opinion.
(Not saying that the comments above/below are bad... talking in generals)

I agree: For Grub you will need more:
Maybe something like: Orpik + Grub for 2x2nd (2018 + 2019) + Abdelkader (need a new start and this is the type of player that Wash doesn't have on their roster...
I understand he could be easily consider a Camp-dump... like Orpik)

These are all really not bad value at all. I agree with everyone above, grubauer probably costs more. I personally don’t think the capitals would trade grubauer at this point with Holtby’s poor play though.
