Wouldn't expect Yzerman to take the same approach with Seider and Raymond considering the cap is at the bottom of a massive hill that's going to be climbed over the next 4-6 years.

Pretty much any GM would do well to lock up their core players now.

Calgary declines. Calgary really doesn't need a 28 year old pending UFA left shooting bottom 6 forward with 4 mil AAV. They'll just keep Markstrom to insulate Wolf for a year or two.
