Bertuzzi - Matthews - Domi
McMann - Tavares - Marner
Knies - Holmberg - Nylander
Dewar - Kampf - Reaves/Robertson

Rielly - Lyubushkin
Benoit - McCabe
Edmundson - Liljegren

Samsonov
Woll

1. Keep the top line as is. It forces Matthews to play a more cycle style and be engaged in the play more opposed to having him wait for Marner to find him all the time
2. Matthews/Marner/Nylander drive their own lines (doubtful but it’s what’s best) - Marner’s gotta play in the top 6 and he’s had chemistry with Tavares and their play styles match. McMann has solidified himself beside Tavares so it should be a natural fit
3. Dewar is not count out of the lineup. He’s been a big reason why the PK has turned around and improved dramatically since the deadline.
4. Reaves should be in if they get Florida, and Robertson if they get Boston though I’d still lean towards Reaves either way a little bit. I think Jarnkrok might have a tough time finding a spot in the lineup because it’s really shaping up without him in it.
5. Liljegren has to play with a defensive guy that can clear the front of the net or he’ll get caved in. He only plays with Rielly late in games when they need offence but to start he’s looked good beside Edmundson

Matthews is usually the guy that gets the puck to Marner... IDK what you are talking about

Matthews and Marner together play a perimetre game where Marner mainly tries to find find Matthews for a quick shot off the rush. Matthews with Bertuzzi and Domi is more of a cycle line. Yes Matthews gets the puck on whatever line he’s on, but when he’s with 2 grinders he’s much more effective at cycling which is a lot of playoff style hockey
