More nonsense. Leafs certainly aren't giving all of that up for a guy that could sign as a UFA. And you can be sure the Leafs aren't signing a one Dman to a 7.5m contract this summer .

There is no such thing as double retention on Cap friendly, so you gotta put the actual player with his 50% cap hit on LTIR & then create a player with the 75% cap hit for the team
