If you guys read the description, you'd see it's not a complete proposal. I believe it was you @csick that inspired it with a post on Twitter about moving Chychrun. So the main part of the idea was really just him going to FLA. The rest was just slapped together. But, in this case, my thinking was that FLA would have to be the ones adding because both players going to OTT are a bit older, have less total term, and Ekblad is risky if he doesn't bounce back. I also know that FLA fans would probably argue the opposite.

It also doesn't have to be those players at all, though. Again, the main idea was Chychrun to Florida.

I would rather go for futures on Chychrun and do more of a 2 year retool to fill the prospect pool again. And load up on short term vets like Henrique , Martinook, Tanev etc

Yeah I figured that would be the aim. I think OTT could still get some futures here. FLA would probably be happy to move Ekblad's cap hit right now, they might even pay to do so. Then OTT can let him heal up or get surgery or whatever he needs to do and bank on him hopefully bouncing back to his previous elite form in a year or so. Verhaeghe for Tkachuk is probably a pretty even swap aside from the age difference and Brady being more of a heart and soul type of player. Though, Verhaeghe is a little more productive offensively, but I assume a good chunk of that has to do with linemates.
