    Vanecek is under contract next year. No reason not to take the free asset when it's available, right? Either he sucks again and helps the tank for Misa or whoever, or he's good and you can dish him at the deadline.

    Basically a bottom pairing LHD, Goalie prospect and a 2024 1st isn't getting you both Hanifin and Markstrom. Wolf and Vladar only work if Calgary is going into full rebuild mode.
