And would be hard for SJS to reach full price for Stützle without decimating their rebuild. So they probably say no too.

Both teams say no. Ottawa wouldn't trade Stutzle for anything less than a 100% guaranteed player of equal or higher caliber. the Sharks wouldn't trade their best player, their best prospect, a 1st, and 2 more prospects for a player that (while very good) isn't good enough to make them not a dumpster fire. Honestly, after moving that many assets they would almost certainly be a worse team.
