I like Leonard's game a lot, but I don't see us giving up Eklund for him. Perhaps we would give up another top 6 player that you can re-sign like Duclair/Barabanov and our early 2nd round pick this year. I assume you want some firepower while Ovi is still around rather than waiting for Leonard for another 2 years.

Value is probably pretty close on Leonard/Eklund, but you don't really see blue-chip prospects get swapped around like that

I think the Sharks would be absolutely ecstatic if they were able to get that deal. They trade a pending UFA who doesn't fit their window for an exciting young prospect? I don't think the Caps would do that deal.
