If they keep playing like this, they will end up with a top-5 pick regardless, so maybe they should keep Lindholm and Hanifin if they can re-sign them and trade the rest of the pending ufas. I don't think they can move Markstrom during the season even if both sides wanted that to happen. Considering Huberdeau, Kadri, and Weegar are probably not going anywhere, they probably should try to be competitive next year. Should be able to pick up a good piece in the draft even if they are just drafting 6-10. They should probably only trade Lindholm or Hanifin if the return makes more sense than signing them.

If Lindholm is looking even close to the 9 million, a 7th would honestly make more sense than signing him. I was against 9 mill Lindholm from the beginning.

Yeah, 9M would be way too much. I think Kadri could probably just play as the 1C assuming he hasn't forgotten how to play hockey.

I wonder if WSH would be interested in acquiring Lindholm for Kuznetsov + their 1st (top 10 protected). I think more than likely pick becomes a 2025 1st that would be more valuable than whatever package Boston would give for him.

I'd keep Lindholm and Big Z unless we get one of those offers that just can't be refused. The rest are trade bait, for sale to the highest bidder. Very unlikely anyone will take Markstrom but then again if we're tanking having a sieve with a big cap hit in goal for a few years isn't so bad.

Move Backlund and Dube too. Time to reset the culture.
