No we should not.

Thrun and Shakir have already seen massive investment put into their stock.
Plus we have Knyzhov, Pulli, Cicek, Okho, AND Gawanke.

Adding roadblocks, whether its a pylon or brick wall is pointless.

Pulli cicek and Okho are not the same kind of player ty smith is. gawanke doesn't play the same side and is prolly just AHL level shak has looked good but I think he starts in AHL. Smith has 1 year left on his deal... not a road block.

Why are we putting stock into what Ty Smith can be? Thrun has shown there's real potential and fills the role Smith wants. It would just cause problems for either player. Id rather be all in on Thrun.

I dont think there is any stock in smith, if he is no good we can just bury him and hes gone after the season. If he reclaims any of his potential it's a win for sharks. Having smith does not mean thrun doesn't get his shot
