I'm guessing the Hawks decline, for a host of reasons... I don't know about the merits of these two prospects, but Dickinson provides reliable versatility to the Hawks as they are situated right now - in a way that prospects who've not sniffed NHL simply cannot. In addition, the Hawks are highly unlikely to ship him out absent a decent pick coming back, rather than paying for another team to take him. Last, the Hawks have two retention slots remaining; my guess is that they're not going to use them absent a high (i.e., 1st rounder) pick coming to the Hawks in any deal (see the McCabe trade to TOR last TDL.) With many contending teams right up against the cap, those retention slots are likely essential to the Hawks' gaining 1st rounder(s) in return at the TDL.
Cheers
