t's definitely an option but there are a lot of ways Detroit can fill the hole on the right side of their defense.

Like Hank suggested in another blog, a 1yr extension for Helly might be ideal for the Sabres and him. It gives Levi two full seasons to adapt to the rigors of the NHL and it allows for Helly to hit the open market when the cap is said to be taking a big jump.

4me, put in Krebs, take out Mitts and it's a done deal, although I'd like to see conditions on the pick--if Helly does sign an extension and the Sabres make the '24 playoffs, it's a 2024 1st round pick, if those conditions aren't met, it becomes a 2025 1st round pick
