Granlund dump

You are dumping granlund on the wrong team, you also dumped him for nothing

Those deals make no sense.

Now isn't a great time to try and trade Granlund after the Hayes and Johanson trade. That's two teams that fit the profile of needing a guy in that mold to be a middle 6 center and the returns on those two with 50% retention was pretty bad.

There’s quite a difference in Granlund’s cap hit and Hayes and Johansen. Hayes is locked on for another 3 years I think which is what may still have killed his value even at 50% retained.
Johansen on the other hand is still decent had an off year but then again it seemed that way for Nashville. And even so that’s still $4M for two seasons which is still expensive. Especially for the respective teams that got them.
Granlund at $2.5M if Pittsburgh were to retain on him would be far more easier for teams to take on. Because to me he’s just someone that doesn’t fit our system.
