I think the Jarry contract is way too much, but it's realistic to what he will demand. Which is why I'd probably get rid of him. And if we trade the 1st I would trade it for defensive help or an up and coming younger player that can be elite. Couture I just don't think is what the team needs with how old we are already

I wouldn't trade the 1st for Couture. He is likely to be Carter 2.0 and have a massive age decline. I agree that the Jarry contract is too big.

As a sharks fan I hope couture gets out with good years left to compete and sharks should trade him while he still has value

same, he’s still useful now but the last 2 years of that contract could be very ugly. also, if the 1st is for taking on the granlund contract, then the sharks would prob still want a better return than a former first round pick for couture+retention
