Value was determined by a few things:

Garland is worthless and maybe even has negative value from all reports - most recently by Servo.

Liljegren has a similar value to Sandin - a little more because he is RHD.

28 overall + 25th overall (estimated pick value of Lily) is valuable enough to get 9th overall and 140th overall according to Dom L's pick value chart.

You get it for a cap dump and 11th overall

Value is super fair for both teams. I just don't think Garland is what the Leafs need. But it would be hard to turn down the 11th overall pick. I really like Lily.

You could sell me on this trade though.

Mikheyev and Van 1st for Lily and Boston 1st and I instantly agree. I miss Mikheyev!

And I really want to draft Moore. I think he goes in the 11-15 range and this gets us to the front of the line in that respect. Thats an extraordinarily fast 2-way centre who can come in as a 3C in 2025 and eventually be a 2C behind Matthews.
