Too many moving parts, would have to draft and develop something, especially with not alienating the established leadership group. Personally I don’t trade the 3oa pick for nothing, but a protected 24 definitely in play, wouldnt buy so much that you block the kids so deeply, might bargain hunt the 1c idea from some selling teams and not be so excited by a super long extension. 3oa should bring a 1c in 3 years, so need a solid team to have him ready for. Ehlers is a nice add to keep laine happy and engaged. That blueline is looking rather intriguing, little bit of everything needed. Solid 8 healthy headed into the season should be a position of strength. Goalie hopefully bounces back. Underrated squad
