I think most non-ducks fans would disagree with you. Although I think Gibson is capable of his 2015-2019 performances I don’t think his trade value is still at that level. This is probably a fair trade given the risk Pit is taking with Gibby‘s term.
This isn't anything close to a fair trade for Anaheim, as you yourself say in the last paragraph of your response.

Ducks get another pick in the deepest draft since 2015, they’re free up cap and a spot for Dostal, and utilize value from players that didn’t fit in their window.
"Free up cap space"?!?!? Even after signing Zegras and Terry to what will probably be an aggregate cap hit of over $15 million, we'll still have $20 million in cap space and only a few roster slots still open. We'll have room to sign a $5 million free agent defenseman on each side (if anyone wants to come here) and still have plenty of cap space even with Gibson on the roster. This is an utterly spurious benefit.

Pens utilize a pick that doesn’t fit their window, they get a Swiss Army knife in Henrique who will score 30 there with great two-way ability, they get rid of a bad contract in Granlund and they get a bonafide starter/possible superstar goalie in Gibson for 4 years.
Yeah, all the concrete and immediate benefits are going Pittsburgh's way, and all that's going in Anaheim's direction is the #14 overall pick (admittedly, a very good -- but future -- value). Thanks for summarizing why this trade is so utterly out of balance, by at least the value of Henrique.

Gibson is going to cost big just to move 6.4 for 4 years.
You seem to think that he's Iron Man Matt Murray times four. I'll bet we get a positive return for him, including a first-round draft pick. If not, I'll be the first person to say "You told me so."
