Actually an exciting team to watch and a future to look forward to

STL 10th OA pick is valued at 69 points (using a chart based on recent plus old draft year first round trade ups) and the Devils is 34 points. 35 point spread to make up the difference for the Blues who have an abundance of draft capital; they can gain even more value and “squeeze” out a little more juice or use newly acquired picks in their own trades.

The Sharks 2nd is valued at 18. Now the Sharks need to make up 17 points in capital to make the trade on par with similar trade up situations. We’re going to at a 3rd and a prospect to wrap this up to not make it drawn out. But I would ideally like to see the Sharks trade up.

(Ben Gaudreau holds no value here; he just reportedly doesn’t see a future with the Sharks, I’m just adding him as the right thing to do would be find a team that would want him and if the Blues ask his name just throw it on top).

Ideally Ryan Leonard or Colby Barlow being available at 10 would create this scenario as I think the Sharks need a scoring winger badly and these two are very appealing. If they ain’t available I doubt there’s a trade up.
