Dunno about that, Faksa is pretty market value with his defensive numbers. Marchment was a bit disappointing, but could rebound.

If Ottawa were to hire Brunette as the next head coach (my preferred option, barring a big firing) I'd be tempted to bet on him re-finding that touch from last season. Idk if it's the correct move, but it's one I'd consider.

I agree about Faksa, but if you could move Joseph out, and maybe get Faksa at like 2.75mil I don't hate it at all. Stellar defensive metrics, would definitely improve the bottom six and help keep pucks out of the net.

I definitely would not be banking on Stankoven walking into a top 6 role though. If he hits though it could be a great long term play for Ottawa.

I don't know if it totally works, but there's definitely more thought into it than all the Granlund and Kubalik posts from Pens and Wings fans. Or whatever nonsense Caps fans have been cheffin up.

I’d rather get something like :

Dube (could be a good option on the 2nd like and re-signed in the 4 per)

2023 1st (around 15th overall not sure exact draft spot)

And maybe a prospect like Toppi Ronni or someone a few years away
