Pittsburgh goes out and gets the defenseman they want in Chychrun. They pay a heavy price, however, they'll have the chance to restock some of those picks if they sell off Guentzel, Rust, or Rakell next summer.

The 3rd line has been awful, and the team needs some size. Jeannot adds the size and pushback this team has sorely needed the past few years. Sissons isn't going to be most people's pick for 3C, but he's right-handed. Jeff Carter is the only other right-handed center on the Penguins roster. If you want to try and push Carter out of the lineup at any point, they need another righty in their lineup. Around the league, the only other real options besides Sissons are Lafferty and Bjugstad and Travis Boyd. I doubt the Penguins are bringing back Lafferty or Bjugstad...both didn't work out well here. You could attempt to get Boyd in the Chychrun deal instead, however Sissons is much better on draws than Boyd, and also uses the body a bit more.
