Sandin McCabe Meier Knies

Doubt if the Hawks use two salary retention spots in one trade considering they may move Toews/Kane/Domi with retention also. I do like the 1st round pick in return for McCabe.

Sure, I routed Meier through Chicago to keep things simple. Could obviously use a different broker to facilitate.

So San Jose isn't getting a first for Timo Meier with 50% retention, the second that they ARE getting isn't in this draft, and all that they're getting is a prospective high-quality top-4 defenseman, a B prospect and a goalie prospect? I think that's too light to land Meier. They'll get a first plus an A prospect for sure, just like Kevin Fiala did; you may consider Sandin to be equal to a first but the rest of that mash is unimpressive.

Outside of Holtz (who I doubt Jersey will trade), Sandin is the best piece SJS will get from any contender.
