If Im trading Marner, Im looking for Dobson at the very least. No shot the Leafs take that, or even trade Marner for that matter

the isles would never do this either, it would cripple the team. You wouldn't get Dobson 1 for 1 either

These teams aren’t a good matchup. The Isles seem to finally have stabilized again with their current Top 4 defensemen. Even if Marner would look great on Barzal’s wing, it would cost them one of their three best defensemen, all of which are crucial to our success.

Doesn’t matter what the value is, I don’t see these teams making a Marner-centered deal.

Then you don't get Marner. It's that simple. He is not some expendable player, he is our best penalty killer, our best playmaker, and our second best player in general. He is a key part of this team, and without him the Leafs are FAR worse
