Post Game Thoughts:

-Mark Kastelic is the 4C and its not close. He's big, he battles, he kills penalties, he wins draws. Won't be handed the gig, but he's definitely not letting anyone take it.

-Tyler Motte is such a workhorse. Dude has a motor and he's just humming out there. Huge asset on the penalty kill, will be great to have him to fill the Brown/Paul void. Great to see his effort rewarded with the empty net goal. Took exactly one pre season game to figure out why Rags and Nucks fans loved the guy.

-Josh Norris must have had sex with Aube-Kubel's mom or something. He targeted him multiple times with dangerous hits. Great seeing Norris pot one, he was having a miserable time because some 13th forward was trying to stand out.

-Credit to the AHL/OHL squad for keeping them in the game. Things weren't going well for Ottawa in the first half, but good chances from guys like Chartier, Boucher and Reinhardt were keeping them in it. Ultimately it was Sabourin and Crookshank who got them on the board.

-Jacob Bernard-Docker looks a lot stronger. He was way more aggressive in his board battles, and he threw a couple of strong hits. I've always liked his defensive game, but I've questioned if he'd hold up at the NHL level. Really liked what I saw from him in all zones, he could definitely make a push for the 3rd pair this season with that kind of play.

-I love Anton Forsberg. Only played 30ish min, but I feel good when he's in the net. I'm not worried about him giving up a fluke goal or flying out of position.
