Description

Just looking at their lineup I feel like their forward depth is weak and they need a top 6 winger because Kakko isn’t gonna cut it. But the goaltending is great and the Defense is insane. Panarin can carry the offense especially with pieces like Zibanjad and Krieder so I think they’ll still be ok but to make another deep playoff run they will need more forward depth imo

What do you mean Kaapo Kakko isn't going to cut it? He's an elite two-way winger, drafted second overall for a reason. He can play against men, something many young players in the NHL can't do.

I'd keep the kid line of Lafreniere/Chytil/Kakko together as the 3rd line and throw guys like Gauthier, Kravtsov or Blais in the top 6 as cheap wingers, give them a chance to see what they really got in them.

If it isn't working out see what the trade market is at the deadline.
