The focal point of this roster is:
1. Give busts another chance.
2. Add size to the roster to reduce the tole on the GREEF line.
3. Bring in Minnesota-born players or UMN alumni just for fun.

On point #1, even if they don't pan out, most of them seem willing to remain in the AHL for a couple more seasons. Given how bad the Iowa Wild were last season, I think it's important that we establish a winning mentality at all levels. And former 1st rd picks fighting for a lost shot at the NHL certainly wouldn't hurt. Plus, it's not like we have a ton of forward prospects whose development would be hindered by the additions. If anything, it reinforces Geurin's mentality that each player needs to earn their spot.

NOTE: This team has $1,512,246 in cap space when trimmed to 23 players.

Also, I really feel that the only thing the Wild need is size. I'd scrap Duhaime and Dewar (despite their impressive showings last season) in favor of some more bruisers. If the cost is too high for a player like Roy or Vilardi then I'd fallback to FA to add size.
