Description

During the season:
- Take on as many bad contracts and draft picks as possible
- Send Eklund and Bordeleau to the Cuda a. to give them NA ice experience and b. protect their confidence from playing on a bad Sharks team
- Convince Couture to leave for an up-and-coming playoff team. CBJ comes to mind given their recent signing of Gaudreau and their need to upgrade their centers

After the season:
- Ask Vlasic to retire. If he refuses, buy him out.
- Qualify: Wahlstrom, Knyzhov, Reedy, Weatherby, Merkley, Mann
- Get 1, perhaps 2 lottery picks plus additional 1st and 2nds to build a nucleus of a new core
- Ask EK65 if he's interested in waiving NMC

I don't see CBJ making that move. Not enough cap cleared for us to sign Laine. Also, we remain overloaded with forwards; even though Couture is very good, that contract is very much not.
