Description

Kubalik contract isn’t accurate but he’s a ufa so dont wanna give up a pick.

I hope we will add another Forward to fill out the roster in case on injuries and see if we can find another good piece for Donny to develop for the future. If it’s kubalik jesse or maybe marchment i would be happy.

I have accepted that we will most likely not get a proven starter in net and I think comrie could be the route we take.

The most important things to figure out imo is what we have in UPL and Mitts. I think that we need to see if they can stay healthy and how good they are if they do.

The move that I would like to see the sabres make the most this season/offseason would be to get another RHD. I thing that a second and Portillos rights should be a decent package for the trade. If Johnson doesn’t sign I could also see us using his rights. The kings seem to be the best team to trade with, due to their crazy amount of d that are nhl ready or will be soon. I don’t have a preference of who we target but Spence seems like a good option.

If the sabres sign hinostroza or Hayden I wouldn’t be surprised and dont mind it

Also Rochester will be so fun to watch.

The Kings are reluctant to move their defensemen (especially for a prospect-for-prospect situation) unless it absolutely addresses an area of weakness. Faber being moved worked because we addressed top-line scoring. The Kings remaining area of weakness is an established top-4 left-shot defenseman, this likely won't happen this season as we are now against the cap.

If the Kings are looking to thin out the number of RDs we have it will start with Sean Walker to clear more cap space. The player after that would be Helge Grans and even then, they might want more time with him.

The Kings seem very interested in what Clarke, Durzi, and Spence have to provide.

Great to hear two Kings fans who agree.
Sean Walker appears to be a good target for the Sabres, what do you think it would take for the Sabres to acquire him in a trade?

@lalalallafontaine While it is great to have many GK prospects now that the Sabres decided to take Topias Leinonen the #1 ranked European and the first GK taken in the draft, Portillo could be expendable.
BTW, I really hate second guessing Jeramiah Crowe as he knows a lot more than I but taking Ostlund over Kemell was IMO questionable.
Ostlund is not an off the wall pick but nearly every pre-draft predictions had Kemell taken among the top ten and Ostlund much later none lower than 14th and one https://www.nhl.com/news not among the top 32.
After he was injured he fell out of favor as his production waned in the second half of the season.
I hope this is not a Reinhart/Draisaitl event.
After Nashville made their pick, the announcers called Kemell a slam dunk.
