Flyers draft Logan Cooley who somehow falls to pick 5. (I don't think that happens, but some mocks have heard rumblings of other guys rising plus this is my dream scenario).

Feel like thats a good deal for Ellis. What if he plays again and gets back to form, the Coyotes can then trade him for more assets and come away as major winners to the deal. That is a big IF. Say he doesn't get any better. The coyotes can LTIR for a long time during their rebuild. The flyers get Crouse who they are rumored to like. They also get little who is a guaranteed LTIR through the offseason. This helps with roster building as Ellis is more of a question mark when it comes to LTIR, which makes it more difficult to spend not knowing if he will return at some point then you have to sell off pieces. Little is guaranteed LTIR so it gives Philly guaranteed space. The pick and Laczynski are sweeteners to make it more feasible to part with Crouse. Lindblom another candidate to boost his value on a bad team and be traded at the deadline to a playoff contender for more picks.

Some other moves brought in 1 year deals that will open up over 7 mil next offseason to help qualify Debrincat or sign him long-term and qualify Cam York. Zamula would hopefully be ready to contribute 3rd pair minutes by next year, and it would be about time for Foerster to hopefully contribute some minutes. Cooley as well will be on a rookie deal looking to make the jump I would hope. So we could save some money there as well.
