Schmaltz was an almost ppg player on a team in disarray last year and he has 4 years left on his contract. And close to 12M in retention? If AZN shops Schmaltz they will get offers significantly better than that.
Henriksson at this point has little value. Maybe in this deal if one of LaF, Miller, or Kakko is in his place AZN startes to show a little interest- which NYR should not consider!

No need to have Arizona retain that much. You can make up the difference in cap simply by moving out guys like Goodrow/Reaves/Trouba/etc
