Monahan will be skating again this month so unless something really goes wrong he wont be on LTIR.

I dont see any way Chicago does that. Defense prospects is so far down theor list of needs and Strome has higher value right now

I was reading that Chicago might not qualify him so if they can get something for him I dont see why they wouldnt. If he isnt qualified I still think he would be a good option. I do not see a way that Monahan is in Calgary next year but someone paid more money than you and I will make that decision.
