Negative cap recapture of Keith means the oilers save his cap hit + negative recapture. There's no function on here to add a cap credit for it so just added it to the cap itself.

Just because Puckpedia posted something doesn't make it true. Below is a link to the CBA below. The NHL does
specifically outline how to treat a traded player and how Recapture would affect both teams. It's on page 267 - Illustrations 3,
4, and 5. That same link below also takes you do the modifications made during the Pandemic to which there was 1 change made to the cap recapture. It's item #63 on Page 24. You can also see from the 2nd link TSN goes into details about what that change is.

***EDIT*** Don't forget that EDM is actually benefiting from the reduced salary right now. Paying $2.1M in salary for his services, but a cap hit of ~$5.5M. How is it possible that EDM won't get some kinda of recapture themselves?
