What I took from press conference

I keep wanting to tell myself Fletcher isn’t such a bad GM that he will pay someone to take JVR rather than unloading some salary in a 3- team deal (4th pick for half retention is more than enough for some teams) and actually get a fair return (2nd minimum)
But let’s face it, it’s Fletcher, he is bad.

Philly also has a pick that might jump right into the roster. Drafting someone like Wright or Nemec or another top 6C or top 4D opens up the possibility to make another big move

I'm fairly sure I already know the answer to this, but what would the availability be on Farabee? If he is available, what would the price look like?

And yes, I know that he is probably unavailable, but he is a very annoying pest like player who I would love see on the Canes. Kind of like a Trocheck replacement of sorts.

The price would be Farabee + to acquire a better player, he isn't untouchable, but they definitely wouldn't move him for futures in any capacity

Everything around the team would make it seem like he's "untouchable" right now. He's signed for decent term, he's shown a willingness to get out of his comfort zone by playing center, he fights for the team even though he really shouldn't, has shown great hockey iq, and Fletcher/Scott have repeatedly brought his name up when discussing the Flyers core
