Description

I would MUCH RATHER secure Giroux as a UFA and not trade for Fiala. BUT getting Giroux is not in our control. IMO doing both creates cap problems far too soon. Getting Fiala also means we must buyout Colin White or again, cap issues start in the summer of '23.
Frederick Gaudreau gives us some great depth at pivot. He and Pinto can battle it out for the 3rd line.
With the 2022 1st OTT drafts Jiricek. It would be nice to see him get some games next season but coming off of knee surgery I suspect he'd play in the WHL next year IF he comes to N America.

TC, you're right. Sens have look long term with their cap. Sens are much better off having cap to spare in 23/24 when they RFA Stutzie , Pinto, to sign as well as maybe UFAs Brown and Zub.

I wonder if Hutton went to an NHL hearing where the showed the replay. Does he tell the NHL executive of players safety, "So you're an expert"?
