Beecher max potential is everyday 3c. A mediocre one at that. DeBrusk wants out. Forsberg is a likely candidate to resign with Boston. DeBrusk, Beecher, and a 1st is really good value. Don't think Nashville wants any part of Studnicka.

Imagine looking at a 20 year old former first round pick who hasn’t played a single pro hockey game and saying he maxes out at a third liner. I don’t think he’s likely to play an NHL game, but slapping a ceiling on him is next level stupid. There are a whole bunch of guys that have been elite players in this league that didn’t look great at 20.

It's not stupid to slap a ceiling on him. In fact it's part of the evaluation process for assessing talent. Yes, plenty of 20 year olds have gone on to successful careers, vast majority haven't. Doesn't mean he can't or won't exceed that mark. His level of play right now indicates 3c ceiling.

yes but you can never really assume they will resign unless they come out and say they will and even then it's risky, remember Jonny T said he would resign in NYI and then left for toronto.

either way UFA's are UFA's there price will always come at a discount compared to if they had term on their contract
