Sorry this isn't good for Dallas at all. First Anderson is not buried in the Leafs system. He's not NHL good. Dermot for Hakanpaa. Might be a fair trade, but Dallas has no reason to do it. Especially when Hakanpaa signed as UFA last summer. And then to trade him? Future UFA would demand NTCs.
I really don't know why anyone would think Dermot is redundant. He's in the top 6 on a very good team. Actually he playing time on the right side also

How key do you think Hakanpaa is for Dallas.

I was wondering because Carolina didn't keep him as a team trying to contend. Kind of reminded me of Boston's view of Ritchie.

He might be a steal for Dallas but I haven't been able to catch many Dallas games this year.

He might be a steal for Dallas but I haven't been able to catch many Dallas games this year.


Not exactly key, but he does his job just fine and his contract is solid. It's cheap for what he brings and it's three years long. Plus the fact we're severely lacking in RHDs raises his stock in our system.
