if they were willing to have a 6m+ AAV goaile, they would have just signed Grubauer to 6x6 instead.

Gibson at 6.4m isnt a steal of a contract anymore, hes now a high end of the AAV for a starting goalie who hasnt been as good the last couple years. Dont see the value in his contract anymore

kuemper can be a veizna winner in colorado. Gibson is a good goalie but 9.03 and 9.04 the past 2 seasons isnt worth the price tag. Ducks have bene bad, but so have the Yotes so you cant use that excuse when Kuemper .928 and .907 seasons on bad teams too.

kumper is getting old he had some injurys season with gibsons past with a better team. both are good i just dont think kumper is all that reliable

health, sure can be a concern, but being concerned about health can be said about 90% of the players in the NHL, its always a conern.

I just see Kuemper is the better goalie lately and his contract helps the avs short term. Gibson hasnt been as good and his contract doesnt add value to him. Just not worth the price and IMO he is over valued as a goalie right now, he gets the Seth Jones treatment of people remember what he used to be like more htan what he has done lately.
