The main problem now is we’re just not great trading partners. Before the draft we needed a premiere LHD but added Edvinsson + Buium to Wallinder, McIsaac, Viro, etc. Now we need centers that project as top 6 or would slot easily over Veleno. I wouldn’t say we’re set on wingers with Zadina, Raymond, Berggren, etc. but we’d need someone more in that power forward mold to compliment the skill guys we currently have. So the needs don’t exactly align with Toronto’s prospects and Toronto should hold onto their ELC as they’re extra valuable with the current contracts they have in place.

So you disagree with my notation that every Bertuzzi to Toronto involves some combo of Dermott, Kerfoot, 2nd round pick, and Mikheyev? Or are you saying it’s okay to post trash proposals because others do it to Toronto?
