Kidding. I'd say Zary straight up, but I doubt you'd do it, and Zary for a bunch of years has more value than Raks, especially if you struggle again next year. Maybe a protected 1st+mid tiered prospect?

I personally wouldn't touch any of the 3 Leafs trades and think a few of the other ones are overpayments as well. I'm just not big on the idea of rentals, but I'm sure it'd be possible to get something close to these examples from somebody.

No retention and take the 1st out of the Boston trade and I'd do it. Last 3yrs of /60 numbers are pretty similar between the two. DeBrusk is an RFA and under team control while Rakell would be a UFA.
