Sabres don't need left handed d. Its possible that we will find some cap space soon, but blocking our left handed d prospects for a 3rd and a 5th seems like a move that doesnt make any sense.

That Cizikas contract is pretty bad. I’m fine with paying him 3m aav, but that term will be killer by the time he’s older. Otherwise, these are all good contracts and the trades at least make sense.

Worst case scenario, Buffalo can get some picks and bury his contract, bearing a cap hit of only 1.35m.
