I'm a Canucks fan trying different teams to see what their needs are. So far, tried Avs, Leaves.

Vegas seemingly has it all - except a top six centre. I really like Chandler Stephenson, but what on earth is he doing on that top line. Kelly McCrimmon doesn't seem to be afraid of the bold moves. I like Eichel here. It makes a weird amount of sense.

For the exercise, let's assume Vegas is progressive and let's Eichel get his surgery AND he ends up being healthy to start the 2021-2022 season on time. I really don't know what the timetable of the surgery is but I think the reality of the situation will affect the trade a lot. Obviously.

We can go back and forth on the trade all day long but if I'm Buffalo I'm asking for a ton. Remember that Vegas' first round picks are closer to other team's second's. This deal looks almost similar to the Lindros deal which I think is one of the only real comparables there's ever been.

This one ends up being rather simple as we are almost instantly right up against the cap. There might be something that would need to happen to move cap away from the goaltending position. If you don't do the Eichel deal, it's really hard to bring back Martinez and Nosek anyway.

I'm curious who is the next man up from the prospect pool. This team is not that realistic since you can't really role without any scratches. It was more possible with the taxi squad in play, but that won't be a thing next year. I just have a hard time seeing Vegas breaking up the misfit line just yet.
