Salvaging the Team

This deal doesn't happen.....mainly because Both Sean Monahan and Milan Lucic will nix it with their NTC, unless theres a plan to ship them with a third team

Maybe they flip Monahan to the Rangers or Caps (if they move on from Kuzy) or Vegas (I know the cap would be really tough to make this one work without retention of some sort or salary going back to Buffalo. The idea with this trade seems to be getting assets that help the future and present with the ones from the present having value if flipped for more assets (Monahan).

We need to rebuild this team. That trade will do nothing but add another big money forward. We need more picks and prospects to rebuild

Talk about a massive overpayment for Eichel.

Zero chance you get 2 first rounders, our last 2 first rounders and Monahan. Nevermind the fact that neither Mony of Looch will waive their NTCs to go to that dumpster fire.
