Also you really don’t think Compher is worth that 3.5 either right? at this point you get 3.5 cap space cleared to help with Makar’s resigning and a solidified top 4 for a b prospects and a very late 1st. You have to pray Johnson waives his NMC otherwise.

I don’t see the caps letting Vanecek go for nothing. They’ll trade him if they fear he’s getting selected.

idk if trading goalies will be easy, a team needs to protect only Vanacek if they trade for him or make sure there’s other more attractive players on their team to choose from or they lose him for nothing, whilst trading the lost assets to the capitals
