The Bruins have a very underrated collection of young talent on their roster. In 5 years the worst I see them being is in that average tier. Columbus is in a similar boat: their goaltending and defence is young, and they can afford to lock Laine and Jones down long-term. Depending on what they find in this upcoming draft, that trio plus Chinakov and Foudy adds a lot to their roster.
Depending on how they play their cards and what kinds of prospects they add, the Sabres could be anywhere between bad and good. It hinges on an Eichel trade: if they keep him, they're probably good enough to annually challenge for a wildcard position but still a few steps shy of making any real noise.
I don't think we're giving the Islanders enough credit.
