I would think that's pretty close for Ekholm. Harkins is a good piece.
I wonder if that's an overpay for Savard. DeMelo has been getting better and he's been playing with bad partners. How much better is Savard than DeMelo anyways?
But if you could get Savard to sign an extension after the expansion draft, then it's worth it.

I think the problem is that Morrissey doesn’t have that big defensive RHD partner that he had with Trouba and Byfuglien in years past. Savard provides that insulation for him that although defensive minded DeMelo is, he lacks size and strength that was evident in the Calgary series when Winnipeg’s D got caved in.
