I don't think the temp GM has much leverage to make deals to begin with.
It's clear all in an all costs show is over. This team has hit the turning point. Even if they are still winning. They can see the end of the road and they realize it's time to change lanes.

Hawks would pass as there is zero interest in Ceci as he would be playing behind Murphy, Boqvist and Mitchell and competing with Seabrook for room on the bench. Kasper is a B prospect and the 3rd and 6th is simply not enough. Kasper and a 2nd rounder plus Ceci as a dump is more appropriate but I'd imagine that's what it would take to start the conversation.
