I don't think you realize how bad Stepan is now, keep Kerfoot. Ottawa wins this trade easy.

I hear what you guys are saying, and its been 5 or 6 games with a new (young and inexperienced team); with little to no training camp, not much practice time, etc. but after 30 games, or in the playoffs when you have no RH C (other than spezza); and a cap hit of $3.5m for the next 2 years, i see it as a way to get playoff experience (see Stepans playoff scoring) , RH C, clear cap space next year, not have to quarantine the guy, for a slight decrease in talent
